Internet Marketing Services Overview

Users on the Web primarily use search engines to find the resources they’re looking for. For this reason, internet marketing is largely equivalent to being found in the major search engines’ results pages. The major search engines are MSN, Yahoo!, and Google. These engines receive the most traffic (Google receives the most) and have their own search technology. There are two ways to get a site into these search engines: pay-per-click advertising and search engine optimisation.

PerthSEO offers SEO and PPC services for the Perth area and International markets. For SEO, it is important for sites to have search engine friendly design and good content, title tags, and links. New sites take time to become well-established. For PPC, it is important to bid on the most relevant phrases, have well-written ads, and have pages that make it simple for the user to carry out a transaction (transaction used in a general sense). Pay-per-click results are immediate. PerthSEO can help your company build a successful internet marketing campaign through both mediums. Contact PerthSEO for internet marketing services.

Pay-Per-Click Advertising

Pay-per-click is also known as PPC or CPC (cost per click) advertising. PPC ads appear at the top, bottom, and right margin of the search engines. Advertisers bid on keyphrases to have their ads appear when a user makes a specific query that matches one of these keyphrases. Advertisers pay a price determined by the search engine’s bidding system whenever a user clicks on an ad. The two largest pay-per-click programs are Google Adwords and Yahoo! Search Marketing (formerly Overture).

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)

SEO gets a company listed in the main body of search engine results pages. Search engines have programs called spiders that look through content on the web by following links, indexing it for inclusion in search engine results. The content that appears in the body of search engine results pages is determined by a search engine’s ranking algorithm, which weighs in several major factors known generally by SEOs. Companies use search engine optimisation to get listed “naturally” or in the “organic results.” SEO has become a lengthy investment, especially for Google. Many believe this is done purposely so that companies interested in internet marketing will opt into pay-per-click while they’re waiting to appear in the “natural results.” Although there is probably truth to this assertion, it is also because search engines want established companies to appear in results rather than fly-by-night web sites.
